Clinician/Doctoral Trainee

Heather-Anne Phelan, M.S. is a clinician and doctoral trainee at Quintessential Health. She received her master’s degree in Psychology from Villanova University and is currently in her third year at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she is earning a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology. Before pursuing her doctoral degree, Heather-Anne managed two nonprofit mentoring programs for disadvantaged youth in Pennsylvania, including pregnant and parenting teenagers. She has practical experience in counseling, social work, and assessment in diverse populations.
Heather-Anne also has a strong background in research and advocacy, with noteworthy projects including ongoing activism to promote the awareness and protection of persons with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), as well as conducting award-winning research on learning and memory.
Heather-Anne’s clinical interests include Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, addiction and substance use treatment, body-image disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders. She is also very interested in psychological/cognitive assessment and hopes to one day offer free psychological testing services to underserved populations like those she has had the privilege of working with in the past.
